OUTREACH PROJECTS
UP TFA is committed to bringing responsive and effective architectural education, not only to students, but also to common and less fortunate communities. TFA creatively executes projects that benefit children in order to hone their artistry, craftsmanship and at an early age, build their knowledge on quality design and environmental education. TFA also spearheads events and projects that cater to young families to raise awareness on efficient housing and environment concerns.

ESKWELA CARAVAN
This is a program spearheaded by UP TFA that aims to engage students in learning activities about Zero Waste Management and Sustainable Designs in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design. This school-to-school project, being a first in many years, is the organization’s answer to addressing current environmental issues by information dissemination and igniting action among the youth in various elementary schools in the metro. This is done through talks, workshops and creative activities that teach the students the value of environmental protection, preservation and sustainable, efficient design. |

HALINA'T MAGLIKHA
This is an art workshop that aims to educate the kids, settling in various less fortunate areas, on basic art and design. It involves teaching basics in drawing and coloring, do-it-yourself activities—recycling and reusing, visualizing, interpreting and expressing themselves and their work. long with harnessing the kids’ respective aspirations in preparation for their future. This harnesses the kids' respective aspirations in preparation for their future, and anchors their anticipation of a brighter future onto a more concrete plan, which will hopefully give them a sense of direction as they grow up. The project was first held in Masagana community in Valenzuela City--currently assisted by Technical Assistance Organization – Pilipinas (TAO-Pilipinas), an NGO with most of its members being alumni of UP TFA--last October 2013 and February 2014 together with the kids of the Masagana Community in Angat, Bulacan. Now, Halina't Maglika is one of the higlights of TFA Week. Open to all potential and aspiring volunteers, this project's utmost objective is to contribute in paving the way for the realization of these sprouting dreams, and as budding designers and builders, its members take part in achieving this objective. |

PUNLA: SEEDLINGS OF HOPE (PUNO NA KAYA, 'DI SINASADYA)
Punla: Seedlings of Hope is a tree planting activity organized in celebration of TFA's anniversary. It was first held as "Puno na Kaya, Di Sinasadya" in 2010 wherein a total of 240 seedlings were planted by the members, applicants and volunteers at the Quezon City Memorial Circle and Krus na Ligas (KNL) Playground along C.P. Garcia Avenue. Its latest was on September 2016 in Barangay Pansol, Balara, Quezon City |
